RRMM Architects chose StaticSmart’s ESD Flooring for a new CyberSecurity Lab at Norfolk State University.
With the increasing threat of cyberattacks and security breaches, Norfolk State University (NSU) offers a Masters degree in Cybersecurity. To strength their legacy as an industry leader in this highly sought after field, NSU hired RMM Architects to design a 6,000SF cybersecurity lab.
RRMM Architects project at the Marie V. McDemmond Center for Applied Research consisted of two different phases.
The first phase involved the design of a new cybersecurity suite and an interior renovation of an existing suite. This renovation included an interior buildout of an unfinished shell space now a reception area. In addition, creating with three new offices, a cybersecurity lab and server room on an isolated network.
The second phase of this project involved creating a new cybersecurity suite providing five offices, conference space, classroom, research lab, and a server room.
This particular photo shows the CyberSecurity Suite and server room on an isolated network to facilitate threat detection and management apart from the campus-wide system.
