Other antistatic carpet requires installers to use expensive copper grounding grids to ensure a conductive ground plane and proper conductivity. In a 24' x 24' room, you need upwards of 1000 linear feet of copper stripping. Even with the copper grids, resistance readings on typical antistatic broadloom carpet measure 2.5 x 108—or 250 Million OHMS!

With StaticSmart ESD Broadloom carpet, installing copper grounding grids are a thing of the past. Conductive fibers are built into StaticSmart broadloom carpet. These conductive fibers work with our exclusive FibreLink backing to provide an infinitely redundant grounding network under the carpet. StaticSmart ESD Broadloom carpet measures 1 x 106—1 Million OHMS—as specified in ANSI/ESD S.20.20. To give you the fail-safe static dissipative protection you deserve.

Certified ESD Protection
Since all of the conductive features of the StaticSmart carpet are inherent in its construction, we're able to test and verify electrical performance before we ship the carpet. If you wish, you can retest the carpet's resistivity before you install it. That means, you don't have to wait until the grounding grids and conductive adhesive are installed and the carpet laid to be sure that your new ESD carpet will actually dissipate static.

StaticSmart broadloom carpet requires only regular vacuuming to keep the floor looking fresh. So it's easy to clean and maintain. Since the carpet is constructed with built-in static protection, you never to treat the floor with expensive antistatic treatments or sprays.
